Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) Review Course – NEW Release

Course Description:
This CCRN Review course prepares you for the CCRN Certification offered by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). Content is based on exam blueprint.

This program is for you if you wish to:

  • Participate in a review course as you prepare to sit for the CCRN examination.
  • Enhance your knowledge and skills related to caring for the critically ill patient.
  • Earn continuing education credits related to the critically ill patient.

Session 3 Endocrine, Renal and Electrolytes, Heme, Gastrointestinal

Session 4 Gastrointestinal (cont.), Multisystem, Shock States

Session 5 Pulmonary

Session 6 Neurology, Multisystem, Behavioral, Synergy, Test Taking Strategies

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  1. Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in cardiovascular disorders.
  2. Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in endocrine disorders.
  3. Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in renal and electrolyte disorders
  4. Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in gastrointestinal disorders.
  5. Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in hematologic disorders.
  6. Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in patients with shock states or sepsis.
  7. Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in pulmonary disorders.
  8. Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in neurologic disorders
  9. Describe key behavioral and psychosocial aspects of the critically-ill patient.
  10. Describe the nurse characteristics of the Synergy Model as they relate to professional caring and ethical practice for patients and families.
  11. Discuss strategies for successful passage of certification examination.

Continuing Education:
16.00 hours of continuing education (contact hours) are offered with this program and this includes 1.5 pharmacology hours. CNEA is a provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number 15714.
