Heart Failure Pharmacology

Presented by: Karen Marzlin

Course Description:
With the emergence of new therapies for the treatment of heart failure, the provider is challenged with the best ways to effectively use medications to improve outcomes and symptoms in patients with heart failure.  This 2-hour pharmacology webinar will focus on the old standbys – betablockers, RAAS inhibitor, mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists and diuretics as well as the newer agents – Sacubitril/Valsartan Entresto, Ivabradine (Corlanor), and SGLT2 inhibitors.  Karen will provide pearls and pitfalls associated with the complicated juggling act of determining which is the right therapeutic regimen for your patient including decision making regarding initiation, up titration, discontinuation, and monitoring. Join us for this jam-packed webinar full of practical tips that will take your practice to a new level of confidence. From the novice APRN to the most experienced there is something for everyone to learn.
